A 3am fire alarm at the Ocean Reef Resort provides us our exit song as we say goodbye Myrtle Beach, South Carolina after a month-long stay.
Our Adventures in South Carolina
During our month-long stay, we definitely got to see a lot of what Myrtle Beach had to offer...but there were still a couple of sights that we wanted to see that didn't get a chance to. Chief among those: Cirque Extreme and the Hollywood Wax Museum.
We take a side trip to Murrells Inlet, South Carolina. While driving along a narrow strip that separates the ocean from one of it's inlets, we stop and take a gander at the famed "Spaceship House".
We continue our Road Trip in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. This time, we hit a bit of Weird USA in the form of The Captain, an out-of-place, outdated mini golf statue along the side of the road.
Along "Restaurant Row" In Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, their lies a Fisherman's Wharf-themed restaurant called the Giant Crab, complete with...a giant crab named Tommy.
While in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, we stop by the South Carolina Hall of Fame for a quick pic of Charles M. Duke Jr's moon boot impressions, inlaid in cement near the building.
We step into history as we explore the plantation roots of Brookgreen Gardens in Murrells Inlet, South Carolina on day 3 of our visit.
We continue our visit at Brookgreen Gardens with a stop at their zoo. While not as exciting as, say, the San Diego Zoo, it was still an added bonus we weren't expecting here.
We begin another day at Brookgreen Gardens in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Today, we manage to capture pics of the rest of the sculptures along the paths.
