Fireman Monument in Milton
Our road trip takes us to Milton, FL, where we found a monument to firemen, located in a park near an old firehouse.
The first leg of our journey back home had come to a close. After a day that started off early with a fire alarm, and lead us all the way from Myrtle Beach to Jacksonville, Florida, we were exhausted. Finally stopping for the night in Tallahassee, we quickly fell asleep. The next day, however, we awoke, fresh and ready to continue our journey.
Our next stop on our Road Trip was the town of Milton, Florida. We were there for only one reason: to check out a weird monument to firemen.
Located next to the old Milton firehouse, the monument, which consists of a fireman’s hat and boots, was designed by the welding students at Locklin Votech. It’s an interesting tribute to firemen. Unless you know it’s there, however, any one traveling through the town wouldn’t know about it.
However, thanks to some advance notice from RoadTrippers (don’t leave home without checking out that site for the weird and wacky first), we were able to witness this unique monument to firemen in this small town in Florida.
Stick around, and see where we head to next!
